ONYX helped rebrand the Ganahl Lumber sites in Southern California to create a unified brand experience inspired by the family business's values and history.
Following the completion of Ganahl Pasadena, ONYX was commissioned to continue the development of a series of design guidelines based on the values and history of the Ganahl Lumber family business in conjunction with the design values and elements featured at the Pasadena store.
ONYX provided design and marketing concepts, entitlements, and where applicable, complete architectural services.
These key design guidelines will be used to re-brand pre-existing Ganahl locations in Southern California and foster the future development of the company.
Design challenges included identifying which buildings to retain, renovate and/or construct structures into a highly efficient and cohesive brand design for the lumberyard.
Solutions involved creating a uniform material palette, adding trellises, storefront openings, comprehensive signage, and utilizing designing connecting structures to various parts of the site to make a comprehensive and identifiable whole of each site.
