Details

Casa Carmen is a new three-story, on-grade apartment building with 24 one-bedroom apartments for very low-income seniors, plus one two-bedroom manager’s unit.

It includes accessory laundry, a rental office, and a recreation room, along with 10 on-grade parking spaces, and incorporates the re-use of HPOZ contributing masonry building façades.

The new building nestles behind the historic brick street façades and takes advantage of the existing prominent corner entrance.

The development is one of the first of its kind to utilize the reduced parking requirements for affordable housing proximate to transit.
