Born in East Hollywood and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Andrea's Southern California roots fuel a desire to build a Los Angeles that belongs to everyone. Earning her Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Southern California and an undergraduate degree in Architecture and Urban Studies and Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Andrea’s professional experience spans the realms of multifamily housing, transportation infrastructure, and large-scale urban redevelopment.
Andrea is a member of ULI-LA’s Housing Council and serves on the board of Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE), an economic justice organization that advocates for tenant rights, healthy housing, and equitable development in L.A. As a member of the SoCal chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects, she also mentors middle- and high-school students during their annual architecture summer camp.
Outside of the studio, Andrea enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, camping, and taking long road trips (she’s convinced she was a trucker in a past life). She also makes regular visits to senior centers and schools across Southern California with her Siberian husky, Ozzy, as a therapy dog to bring companionship to those who don't have pets of their own.
