Before and After makeover of the La Crescenta Campus Church Chapel, a simple interior renovation included all new finishes, furnishing, and new ceiling and lighting concept, creating a focus on the original traditional architectural structure.
By creating lighting soffits and wall alcoves that enhance the traditional prominent columns and beams of the traditional church architecture.
The design includes expanding the stage (chancel and alter) by providing a more universal design defined by simplified floor material transition, establishing a vertical focus in the vestibule entrance with a carved-out open ceiling with a featured chandelier pendant.
The “After” transformation image of the chapel space provides a completely different experience for patrons, entering the chapel from a lowered scale outdoor breezeway into a bright and airy vestibule.
It brings the visitors a clear focus and perception of light and openness to the center chancel compared to the "Before" image.
